Historic marker to be unveiled for Monroe County school

The marker honors the legacy of those who attended the school and highlights the broader impact of Rosenwald schools, which expanded from six original schools to about 5,000 nationwide, significantly benefiting African American education. The unveiling will take place Saturday at Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Church from 10 AM to 2 PM.
