Raffle aims to help Lee County Library purchase new “family work station”
SUMMARY: The Friends of the Lee County Library are raffling a complete reading nook, including a recliner, table lamp, throw blanket, and a signed copy of John Grisham’s “Camino Ghosts.” The raffle aims to raise funds for a family workstation at the library, featuring a computer desk and a playpen for toddlers, enhancing the library experience for families. Raffle tickets are priced at $5 each or five for $20, available at the library or from board members. The drawing will take place on December 19th.
The Reading Nook Raffle includes a recliner, end table, lamp, blanket and signed copy of John Grisham’s Camino Ghosts.

Verona shooting victim laid to rest with the shooter still at large
SUMMARY: A fatal shooting in Verona claimed the life of 19-year-old Raven Hogan, a senior at Shannon High School. Police reported that Raven was shot in her apartment on November 6. Her family is devastated, describing her as an outgoing and responsible teen who was loved by many. Her aunt highlighted her caring nature, saying Raven was always willing to help. The family is heartbroken, struggling to cope and seeking justice for her untimely death. While police have identified potential suspects, no arrests have been made yet.
