SUMMARY: With cooler, dry weather this fall, over 40 counties in Arkansas have issued burn bans to prevent fire dangers. While Pulaski County has yet to implement a ban, officials are prepared to act if necessary. A burn ban prohibits all outdoor burning, including yard debris and residential open burning. Experts emphasize the importance of these bans, as dry vegetation and low humidity elevate fire risks. Arkansas Department of Agriculture officials caution against common activities that could ignite fires, such as using tools outdoors and ensuring trailers are safe while driving. Residents are urged to take burn bans seriously.

In Arkansas, we have been experiencing a very dry couple of months recently. This has caused dozens of burn bans to pop up across the state. Here’s what to know.

The drive aims to ensure everyone has a holiday meal, and while it has ended, donations are still needed at local food banks. Cash donations also help, as every bit counts. Many giving back expressed gratitude and acknowledged the possibility of one day needing help themselves, emphasizing the importance of community support during tough times.
