Heat for the Holidays winner gives prize to her aunt
Every year, the Heat for the Holidays Giveaway sponsored by WXXV, Geiger Heating and Air, and Trane gives a complete heating and air system to one lucky family on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
This morning, News 25 traveled to Moss Point to surprise the lucky winner. Although, this year was different than usual.
Phyliss Liddell knocked on the door of her Aunt Georgia Fountain’s home, which she has lived in for 50 years. Georgia has never had a central heating and cooling system inside.

SUMMARY: Sherral’s Diner in Carriere, MS, will welcome America’s Best Restaurants for a feature on December 3, 2024. This national media company aims to spotlight local eateries, showcasing Sherral’s popular Southern comfort food, including fried chicken and red beans, during an on-camera interview with owners Jeremy and Jennifer Hepler. The Heplers, who revived the diner in 2013 after it closed post-Hurricane Katrina, hope the episode will boost awareness and sales for their family-friendly restaurant. Filming will take place from 9 am to noon CST, with the episode premiere date to be announced on social media and their website.
