Hattiesburg waterpark works out weather protocols
SUMMARY: At Serenity Springs, families are enjoying fun in the sun after years of planning, but the water park team remains vigilant to ensure safety during both fair and foul weather. Lifeguards and staff monitor nearby thunderstorms and close the park when lightning is detected within a 10 to 15-mile radius. Using weather apps and detection systems, management can clear the park in 2 to 5 minutes. During thunderstorms, guests can wait in covered pavilions with adequate seating. To combat summer heat, employees use umbrellas, cooling stations, and fans, and lifeguards rotate positions every 30 minutes and take breaks as needed.

Justice Randolph stated he cannot appoint judges until a courtroom is available, expressing optimism for the future once a building is secured. The old Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home is designated to become the new courtroom and Capitol Police headquarters, while a temporary court setup is in progress.
