SUMMARY: A recent news story highlighted that many people have never seen or used a typewriter, prompting a reflection on a past typewriter exhibit at Mississippi State University. Notable machines on display included those used by famous authors like Ernest Hemingway, Ray Bradbury, and Maya Angelou. Despite the evolution to computers, the fundamental 26 letters of the alphabet remain the same. The speaker suggests that time management may differentiate today’s writers from the past, as historical authors produced great work using typewriters. A vintage machine was also showcased for visitors to experience, evoking nostalgia for simpler writing tools.
