Hattiesburg Arts Council presented ‘Artists Across Borders’ exhibit Saturday

SUMMARY: The Twin Forks Rising Community Corporation, the Hattiesburg Development Corporation, and the Hattiesburg Arts Development Corporation all participated in an presented by the Hattiesburg Arts Council. The event showcased a new exhibit called “Artists Across Borders,” which focused on bridging cultural gaps in Mississippi. The exhibit art by artists Hector Boldo, Allen Chen, Andrea Kostyal, and Betty Press, and explored immigration stories, cultural connections, and social justice. The four collaborated over the last 7 months to make the exhibit a reality, celebrating the values that immigrants bring to the country. The exhibit is open for public viewing and artwork is available for purchase at the Arts Council building.
