Hartfield wins MAIS appeal

SUMMARY: Hartfield School has won its appeal against a postseason ban and will be eligible for the 2023 season. The ban was imposed after Saint Joseph Catholic complained that Hartfield had illegally recruited players during a basketball game. As a result, Hartfield faced a postseason ban for 2023 and the suspension of two coaches. However, both coaches have now been reinstated, and Hartfield has received a warning, probation, and a reduced fine for allowing the appearance of improper recruiting. While Hartfield disagrees with the sanctions, they are grateful for the opportunity to participate in the 2023 season.

Hartfield Academy has won its appeal to the MAIS and is now eligible for the 2023 post season.
