SUMMARY: Harrison County beaches remain closed due to cleanup efforts after Hurricane Francine’s 50 mph wind gusts last week. Mackenzie Martin reported live from the beach, noting that the County Beach Authority is working to clear storm debris. Beaches east of De Bees Road in Bay are now open, but more extensive cleanup is needed on the west side due to tidal erosion causing sand displacement and potholes. The Road Department is assisting with these efforts. Crews are progressing towards Gulfport, Long Beach, and Pascagoula, aiming to complete the cleanup by Friday or early next week.

Harrison County beaches have been closed as the Harrison County Sand Beach Authority fixes them back up.
