SUMMARY: Luigi Mangion, 26, appeared in a New York City courtroom today, facing three murder charges including terrorism-related allegations. Dressed in a sweater and khaki pants, he pleaded not guilty alongside his attorney. His case involves two separate legal proceedings; state charges have raised concerns about his rights being violated, particularly after a dramatic arrival in an orange jumpsuit and shackles. Mangion’s legal team argues he won’t receive a fair trial due to the publicity and treatment he has received. He may also face federal charges, potentially leading to the death penalty if convicted.

The man accused of killing United HealthCare CEO Brian Thompson appeared in a New York City courtroom to enter his plea. He was formally charged by the Manhattan DA last week on multiple murder and weapons charges, including an act of terrorism.
