Harris campaign focuses on labor groups as White House race continues
SUMMARY: President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris are set to make their first campaign appearance together since Harris became the nominee, speaking at a union hall in Pittsburgh. Earlier, Harris was in Detroit, Michigan, advocating for union rights and pledging to pass the PRO Act to end union busting. Minnesota Governor Tim Walz also engaged with labor leaders in his state before attending a Labor Day event in Milwaukee. The Biden-Harris campaign emphasizes their dedication to labor, portraying their administration as the most pro-labor in history, contrasting it with the previous Trump administration’s anti-worker stance. Union members remain a crucial support base.
