Happening July 27: Work For Warriors Symposium
SUMMARY: Mississippi Work for Warriors is reaching out to the military community to help connect veterans, military personnel, and their families with civilian employment opportunities. The employment coordinator, Jeffrey Isabel, joins the show to discuss their efforts. Mississippi has the two largest populations of veterans in the region, and many are underemployed. The program aims to bridge the gap between military skills and civilian employment by showcasing the skills veterans have learned in the military and making them available in the civilian population. They are working to show employers the value veterans bring to the workforce.
