Hamilton man arrested for shooting his friend on Highway 82

SUMMARY: Gregory Daniel Miller, a Hamilton man, has been indicted for the first-degree murder of his friend, James Gabriel Tipton. The incident occurred on January 20, while traveling east on Highway 82 around midnight. Miller reportedly shot Tipton, who was seated in the back of a pickup truck, before the driver attempted to pull over and aid. Miller fled the scene but was later apprehended in Pickens County, Alabama. As of now, no trial date has been announced for this case.
