Ole Miss drops to No. 14 in latest College Football poll after Florida loss
SUMMARY: The Ole Miss football team’s chances of making the College Football Playoff are severely diminished following a 24-17 loss to unranked Florida, marking their third defeat this season. Ranked No. 13, Ole Miss struggled with turnovers and red zone inefficiencies, converting just three of 14 third-down attempts. Quarterback Jaxson Dart threw for 323 yards but made critical mistakes late in the game. Despite setbacks, including the absence of starting running back Henry Parrish Jr., the Rebels cling to playoff hope. They must win the Egg Bowl against Mississippi State and rely on several key upsets to remain in contention.
