Gulfport High School Choir students call for donations for new piano

SUMMARY: Golfport High School’s choir is in need of a new piano as their current one is over 50 years old and out of tune, making it difficult for students to sing in the right pitch. Students like Elijah Frederick and Gracie Blackwell have a passion for singing but struggle due to the old piano. The school is fundraising $4 to 50,000 to purchase a new piano to improve the students’ musical skills. The Gulfport High Booster Association is calling on the community to make donations to help create a better future for music students at the school. Donations can be made at Cadence Bank or through the booster association’s Venmo or PayPal account.

The school has launched a fundraiser to replace its piano as its age prevents it from holding a key.
