SUMMARY: Tropical weather updates indicate that Gordon is currently in the central Atlantic Ocean and will dissipate without affecting land. Meanwhile, PTC 8, located off the Carolinas, is expected to become the next named storm, potentially named Helen, by tomorrow. It may bring rain, wind, and coastal flooding to the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast. However, there are no tropical concerns for the next 10 days. The upcoming week will feature temperatures in the mid to upper 80s, with scattered showers and storms expected tomorrow.
WWL Louisiana meteorologist Alexa Trischler says there are no tropical concerns for the Gulf Coast over the next week.

Evening Forecast – Sunday, September 15th
SUMMARY: Meteorologist Sammy Petco reports that isolated, light showers are present, particularly in Southeastern Arkansas and north of the I-20 corridor. Temperatures remain mild, ranging from the mid to high 70s and low 80s in some southern areas. Humidity contributes to a muggy environment, with patchy fog possible. Rain chances are expected to decrease as an area of low pressure moves southeast, bringing potential isolated showers mainly on Monday. Daytime highs may reach the mid-80s with partly cloudy skies. Over the week, clearing is anticipated, allowing temperatures to rise before decreasing again by the weekend.
