Gulf Coast prepares for Saturday's 37th annual Alabama Coastal Cleanup
SUMMARY: Tomorrow marks the 37th annual Alabama Coastal Cleanup, where thousands of volunteers will gather along the coast to help remove trash. Since its inception, the initiative has successfully removed nearly 1.8 million pounds of debris, with over 22,000 pounds cleaned up last year alone. This year, five check-in zones will be set up in Gulf Shores. The event aims not only to clean but also to prevent pollution, encouraging visitors to leave no trace behind. The cleanup starts at 8:00 AM, and it’s not too late to participate, as organizers will provide all necessary supplies.
Thousands of volunteers across Alabama will head to the coastlines for the 37th annual coastal cleanup on Saturday morning.

Derelict sailboat on Pensacola Beach removed after months
SUMMARY: The Lady Katherine III sailboat, which became a temporary landmark on Pensacola Beach after being spotted as a ghost ship in June, has now been removed due to weather concerns.
