Gulf Blue celebrates one year anniversary on the Gulf Coast

Gulf Blue celebrates its one-year anniversary.

One year ago, the University of Southern Mississippi launched the Gulf Blue Initiative inside the historic Gulf and Ship Island building in Gulfport.

In the last year, the program exceeded annual goals, collecting 45 applications from blue tech companies after only expecting 30.

Companies from all across the country are moving to Mississippi for the blue economy innovation.

Darian Atkinson ruled incompetent to stand trial in McKeithen murder case
