Grind to Glory: Tupelo High excited about another gauntlet of schedule
SUMMARY: Good evening, I’m Jason Williams from WTV 9 Sports. Our Grind to Glory series, sponsored by Southern Housing, returns for its second year, traveling to various schools in Northeast Mississippi to preview the upcoming football season. We begin with the Tupelo Golden Wave, led by Coach Tai Harden, entering his fifth year. After back-to-back district championships, Tupelo faces a challenging schedule, including two state champions and playoff rivals Madison Central and Starkville High. Key player J.J. Hill, a junior running back, is set to lead the offense. Coach Harden emphasizes staying healthy and lucky for playoff success. The season kicks off on August 30th against White Haven Tigers. Ty Hardin is entering year five as the head coach of the Tupelo Golden Wave. Hardin has this program on a roll as they have won back-to-back district championships.

Blitz 16 Week 5
SUMMARY: In this week‘s Blitz, the featured game highlighted the Ridgeland Titans facing the undefeated Murrah Mustangs, resulting in a thrilling 34-28 victory for Murrah after a comeback. Other matchups included Northwest Rankin beating Brookhaven 35-30, Madison Central overcoming Warren Central 34-24, and Brandon dominating Gulfport 42-0. Pisgah remained undefeated against Richland, while Lanier triumphed over Jim Hill 32-10. Football Friday Tailgate: University Charter School Hosts Marengo

Game of the Week: West Lauderdale at Philadelphia
