Grenada to create wood pellet production facility with major capital investment

SUMMARY: The Greater Grenada Partnership is partnering with Highland Grenada LLC on its largest capital investment industrial project in its history. This collaboration will see the former GP OSB site, a 144-acre piece of land, turned into a green energy project and wood pellet producer. Mississippi Agriculture Commissioner, Andy Gipson, has welcomed the plan, which will increase the state’s timber industry. The Highland Group, based in Arkansas, plans to use wood from local sources such as forest thinning and residual waste wood. The project will create jobs and decrease emissions thanks to an efficient transport network.
