Grants for cleanup costs now available to Jackson and Jasper county tornado victims

SUMMARY: The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is offering one-time financial assistance for residents of Jackson and Jasper counties in Mississippi whose homes were damaged by tornadoes in June. Homeowners and renters can apply for cleaning and sanitizing assistance if their home is still safe to live in, based on a FEMA inspection. Renters may also be eligible for financial aid if cleaning is necessary or has already been done. FEMA may also cover cleaning costs if the damage is not covered by insurance.
