Tropical update: Tropical Depression 14 forms in southwestern Gulf of Mexico
SUMMARY: Clear conditions are present in Houston, although isolated showers are reported just offshore near Galveston, with potential inland movement. A low-pressure system near the US-Mexico border has been classified as a tropical depression by the National Hurricane Center, expected to shift northeast, away from Southeast Texas. A cold front arriving Tuesday will further protect the area. Meanwhile, hurricanes Kirk and Leslie are currently over open water and pose no threat to Texas, while the next named storm, Milton, could enter the Gulf soon.
