SUMMARY: For the last 20 years, Lowndes County in Mississippi has experienced significant economic growth, thanks to the efforts of the LINK, a regional economic development organization. The county has attracted major projects and investments, such as Yokohama, Paccar, AirBus, Steel Dynamics, and Aluminum Dynamics, resulting in about $10 billion worth of capital investments and 10,000 jobs. The expansion of the LINK’s service territory to include West Point, Clay County, Starkville, and Oktibbeha County has allowed for different opportunities and job growth in the region. The organization remains focused on future growth and development.
