Germantown golfer wins state championship
SUMMARY: Fifteen-year-old Kaylee Gatlin, a junior golfer from Germantown High School, has won the MHSAA Seven State Championship, dominating the tournament at Patrick Farms in Pearl with a score of two over par. Cheered on by her father, she credited her success to having a “Mamba mentality,” emphasizing focus and trust in her training during the nerve-wracking competition. Kaylee is now preparing for the upcoming All-Star Tournament, where the state’s top golfers will compete at Dancing Rabbit in Philadelphia, Mississippi. She expressed gratitude to her parents, particularly her mom and dad, whom she jokingly refers to as her “hydration specialist.”
