Their team successfully recovered three bodies, utilizing trained dogs to navigate the challenging terrain. Keith Holland, non-profit founder of Joint Task Force K9 has returned home from western North Carolina after assisting in Hurricane Helene relief efforts.

Holland used trained dogs to help find missing bodies in western North Carolina and got back from the mission on Monday.

When ABC15 spoke to Keith Holland last week, he had just gotten to Mars Hill, an area about 15 miles north of Asheville. Holland was about to set out on a four-day search and recovery mission on the South Toe River with his service dog, Quill.
