SUMMARY: In the wake of President Trump’s recent election, Planned Parenthood has reported a significant increase in demand for long-acting and permanent contraceptives. Kentucky’s CEO, Rebecca Jabron, noted a 1,000% rise in inquiries for IUDs and implants compared to the same period after the last election, reflecting fears over reproductive rights and access. This surge mirrors the uptick seen after the reversal of Roe v. Wade in 2022. The organization is also observing more men seeking vasectomies, indicating heightened awareness of reproductive responsibilities. Jabron emphasized Planned Parenthood’s commitment to advocating for patients’ access to reproductive care amid political uncertainties.

In the wake of President Donald Trump’s re-election, Planned Parenthood has seen a surge in demand for long-acting and permanent birth control options.
