Fraternity hazing investigation at the University of Alabama
SUMMARY: Several University of Alabama students have been arrested for their involvement in fraternity hazing incidents at the Pi Kappa Phi house in August. Court records indicate a pledge was shoved, and in another incident, the same pledge and others faced intimidation, including being yelled at, stepped on, had items thrown at them, and beer poured on them. Four students, including Christopher Merlino, Joshua Ferritto, Charles Gray, and Grant Rakers, failed to report the hazing. The university has stated that hazing is strictly prohibited and that it thoroughly investigates such allegations.
