SUMMARY: This morning, power outages remain significant across several counties due to recent heavy rainfall. Hinds County faces the most severe outages with 4,900 customers affected, followed by Smith County with 3,200 and Jefferson Davis County with 2,100. Rainfall amounts have varied, with some areas receiving up to five inches. While light showers continue in some regions, improvements are noted, particularly south of the metro area. Winds, gusting between 25 to 35 mph, are expected to subside, but the dreary weather will continue throughout the day with overcast skies and little temperature increase.
