Forrest Co. prosecutor speaks on 195 Fruitland Park shooting suspect’s bond revocation

SUMMARY: Mont Quinn has been charged with attempted aggravated assault with the possibility of an upgrade to a more serious charge if the victim dies. His bond has been set at $500,000, but it may be revoked due to other charges and indictments in Lamar County. The investigation is ongoing, but it is likely that there will be an upgrade to include charges of illegal street gang activity. Quinn is facing a six-count indictment for possession of a weapon and controlled substances, among other charges. The connection between Quinn and the incident cannot be discussed at this time. If his charges are enhanced, it would be due to proving illegal street gang activity between rival gang members. At the preliminary hearing, the prosecution will present evidence to show that the case should be sent to the grand jury. Quinn may undergo a medical check and will need to wear an ankle monitor if released on bond.

Bond has been revoked for a suspect involved in the deadly 195 Fruitland Park shooting from this past weekend.

According to Forrest County Prosecutor Mary Lee Holmes, Montrell Malik Quinn II has six other charges in Lamar County.
