Former tenant accused of murdering Dallas 49-year-old landlord lady
SUMMARY: Dallas Police arrested 41-year-old Jeffrey Hinton, a former tenant, for the murder of 49-year-old Faith Warren in her Lakewood home. Hinton was tracked down using surveillance video from neighbors, which captured him arriving and leaving in a blue Hyundai around the time of the shooting on July 6. Although he denied involvement and claimed he left before noon, evidence, including phone records and witness statements, contradicted his account. A neighbor reported seeing Hinton return to the house and tamper with the doorbell camera. The motive for the murder remains unclear, as police investigate further.
Dallas police arrested a man for the murder of his former 49-year-old landlord inside her Old East Dallas home earlier this month.

Tropical update: Monitoring a tropical wave in the Baye of Campeche with high chance of development
SUMMARY: Good Sunday morning! I’m K1 meteorologist Chris Ramirez providing a Tropics update. As of now, a tropical wave in the Southern Gulf of Mexico has a 90% chance of development within the next week. The K1 weather team has issued a weather impact alert from Tuesday to Thursday, anticipating heavy rain, particularly for coastal areas. While today is pleasant due to a cold front, the wave could bring significant rainfall to Galveston and Houston starting Tuesday afternoon, with potential flooding risks. Stay tuned for updates, as the forecast remains uncertain. Monitoring is essential as we approach the peak of hurricane season.
Regardless of if it develops, the system should bring areawide rain to Southeast Texas.
