Former Senatobia daycare worker says owner hurt kids, let them fight
SUMMARY: A former Peek-A-Boo Playschool employee in Senatobia, Mississippi, alleged that the owner, Amye Durham, physically and verbally abused children. Durham was charged with two counts of simple assault after authorities received complaints. Witnesses described instances of Durham yelling, swearing, and roughly handling young children, including allowing them to fight each other. The daycare, previously investigated in 2017 for leaving a child at a park, is now under state management with Durham banned from the premises. The Senatobia Police Department continues to investigate and seeks more information from the public. Durham’s bond was set at $1,000.
