Former Richland music teacher convicted on sex crime charges
SUMMARY: A former music teacher and preacher in Rankin County, Mississippi, has been convicted of sex crimes. Samuel Lamar Taylor, 52, was found guilty of one count of sexual battery and one count of gratification of lust. He had served as a music teacher for over 25 years and was also a minister at various churches. The investigation began after an 11-year-old autistic child disclosed abuse to their counselor, with another victim coming forward alleging abuse in the 1990s.
