Florida woman killed when tree fell on home during Hurricane Milton

Additionally, Randy Snider suffered a medical incident while preparing for the storm, and William Stone faced a similar fate, unable to receive treatment due to flooding.

A family is seeking solace after a tree killed their loved one during Hurricane Milton. James and Karan Zahnen were in their Ormond Beach home when the tree fell, and Karan did not survive. The family tells us the two had been married for 52 years. Karan was retired from the Bethune Cookman athletics department. She enjoyed her family, traveling, and going to Tortugas games.
