SUMMARY: In 2024, Florida’s tourism reached a record high of 142.9 million visitors, an increase of nearly 3 million from previous years, with 30 million visiting in the fourth quarter. Governor Ron DeSantis announced a boater freedom initiative that aims to treat boaters like adults and includes a right to boat law, preventing local regulations on gas-powered boats. With Trump’s zigzag actions on trade, March came in like a lion and won’t be going out like a lamb
SUMMARY: President Donald Trump has implemented a chaotic tariff policy, targeting both allies and adversaries, which has left the world anxious about its next steps. He has imposed, paused, and adjusted tariffs unpredictably, including threatening a 200% tax on European wine unless the EU drops a 50% tariff on U.S. whiskey. The policy aims to boost American manufacturing but has raised fears of slower growth and higher inflation. His erratic approach has damaged trade relations, particularly with Canada, where new tariffs have sparked backlash and fear of U.S. expansionist ambitions. The trade landscape remains uncertain and volatile.
