SUMMARY: Hurricane Milton approaches Florida, causing an eerie scene in normally bustling Clearwater Beach as it remains a major hurricane. Connor Hansen reports from Tampa, where winds and rain intensify as landfall nears, expected in about 12 hours. Tornadoes have already been reported in South Florida. Tampa’s mayor is pleased with evacuation efforts, with around 30,000 people in shelters. Concerns persist about infrastructure after Hurricane Helen recently impacted the area, leaving debris and saturated ground, which makes flooding more likely. Preparations continue as residents hunker down, hoping the storm tracks southward to lessen local damage.

Hurricane Milton remains a major hurricane as it continues on path to Florida’s coast. FOX’s Connor Hansen joined FOX 4 live from Tampa, Florida where the people who chose not to evacuate are bracing for impact.

SUMMARY: As the 97th Academy Awards approach, controversy surrounds the use of AI in potential Best Picture contender *The Brutalist*. Directed by Brady Corbet, the film uses AI to enhance Hungarian accents and generate architectural drawings, sparking debate. Editor Dávid Jancsó explained AI’s role in perfecting accents and creating aged images, while Corbet clarified that AI did not alter performances or render buildings. Similar AI concerns arise with Netflix’s *Emilia Pérez*, where AI helped enhance the lead actress’s singing voice. Legal experts warn of uncertainty over Trump’s partial repeal of birthright citizenship

www.youtube.com – KSAT 12 – 2025-01-21 20:50:49

SUMMARY: President Trump signed an order challenging birthright citizenship for children born in the U.S. to immigrants who are here illegally or temporarily. Legal experts argue that the move violates the 14th Amendment, which guarantees citizenship to anyone born in the U.S. Critics label it unconstitutional and racially discriminatory, pointing to past rulings affirming birthright citizenship. Although some believe the order will be overturned in court, there’s uncertainty due to a more conservative Supreme Court. Legal challenges are expected, with opponents seeking to block the order before it takes effect. Critics suggest Trump may use the issue to rally his supporters.

President Donald Trump followed through on a campaign promise Monday to move to remove the guarantee of citizenship for some children born on U.S. soil.

SUMMARY: President Donald Trump has officially declared an “invasion” at the U.S. southern border, issuing a proclamation to suspend entry and repel this invasion. This historic move follows similar declarations by 55 Texas counties and a formal opinion from Arizona’s former attorney general validating states’ rights to self-defense under the Constitution. Trump asserts that the federal government has failed to uphold its constitutional obligation to protect states from invasion. His proclamation, effective January 20, allows for the suspension of entry for individuals deemed part of this invasion, emphasizing the need for health and background checks and authorizing federal action to remove these individuals.
