The authorities tracked the girl’s cell phone and found her at her home. The girl admitted that she got the idea from a YouTube challenge and thought it would be funny. The sheriff criticized the prank, stating that it wasted valuable resources and could have prevented helping someone in actual need. The girl was charged and taken to a juvenile detention center.
