Florida deputies shot in ambush; home stockpiled with guns, MREs, survival gear | FULL UPDATE
SUMMARY: In Lake County, a tragic ambush has claimed the life of Deputy Bradley Link and injured two other deputies. Julie Soio, 48, has been arrested in connection with the incident. Early on August 2, deputies responded to a disturbance involving Soio, who was reportedly assaulting her neighbors and claiming to be under divine orders. Upon returning to her home for a welfare check, deputies were ambushed by her husband, Michael Soio. Despite efforts to rescue Deputy Link, he succumbed to injuries. Lake County Sheriff Peyton C. Grinnell, State Attorney Bill Gladson, and Lake County Lt. John Harrell hosted a press conference on Monday afternoon with new details about the ambush that killed one deputy and injured two others. Officials said they’ve arrested a suspect, shared an update on the injured deputies in the hospital, and revealed what happened during the ambush late Friday night.

House fire in Parkland
