Fishermen rescued 38 dogs from Grenada Lake

SUMMARY: In Grenada County, 38 dogs were rescued from Grenada Lake after treading water for about an hour. The dogs, part of a fox hunt, got lost after chasing a deer into the lake. A fishing crew, consisting of two friends and a local guide, saved the dogs over the weekend. They first rescued 27 dogs by pulling them into their boat one at a time, then went back to rescue 11 more. All dogs, equipped with radio collars, were safely brought back to shore. Despite the owner offering payment, the rescuers refused, considering it their fortunate duty. All dogs are reportedly fine.
