SUMMARY: South Charleston police raised funds to replace a 13-year-old girl’s stolen adaptive bike. Miracle Rush, who has undergone numerous surgeries and faces health challenges, was devastated when her $10,000 adaptive tricycle was stolen in February and crushed in a garbage truck. After reporting the theft, Corporal Thomas Christristen spearheaded a community fundraiser. With contributions from the police department, local businesses, and individuals, including a generous discount from the bike company, they were able to buy a replacement. The community’s support has been overwhelming for Miracle and her mother, who had planned to focus on purchasing a wheelchair-accessible vehicle.

Protecting your dog against diseases

Published

on

www.youtube.com – WSAZ NewsChannel 3 – 2025-04-09 15:42:38

SUMMARY: As warmer weather approaches, respiratory diseases in dogs increase, peaking between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Diseases like canine influenza, parainfluenza, and bordetella bronco spread through dog-to-dog contact, contaminated surfaces, and secretions from coughing or sneezing. To protect pets, veterinarians recommend vaccinations such as the Novivvac Intrat oral BBPI and Novivvac Next K9 Flu H3N2. These vaccines help prevent illnesses like kennel cough and dog flu, which can lead to pneumonia in severe cases. Pet owners should consult their vet to discuss their dog’s risks and vaccination options to ensure their pets stay healthy during this high-risk season.
