FEMA, SBA help now available for Moss Point tornado victims

SUMMARY: Federal assistance is being provided to tornado survivors in Moss Point, Mississippi by FEMA and the SBA. Around a thousand people have registered for assistance so far, with over a million dollars already being distributed to those affected. Assistance is available through phone, online, or in-person at the Disaster Recovery Center. Uninsured and underinsured losses are eligible for assistance, with rental assistance and temporary housing options also available. The SBA has already approved over a million dollars in disaster loans for homeowners and renters. The application process for assistance is open-ended, with a registration deadline in early October.
