FEMA relocating disaster recovery center to Bolton

SUMMARY: FEMA is relocating a disaster recovery center from Hinds Community College to the Hinds County Public Works Department in Bolton on June 27 to better assist residents affected by severe storms and tornadoes in April. The new center will operate Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. State and federal officials will be available to help survivors apply for aid and check application statuses. Other centers are in Hinds, Madison, Humphreys, Neshoba, and Scott counties. Nearly $1.4 million in federal aid has been allocated, and residents are encouraged to apply.

MCBB: Southern Miss finds first road win of season, beating Louisiana 67-59

SUMMARY: Southern Miss secured its first road win of the season, defeating Louisiana 67-59.
