FBI in Oregon to announce case with ‘national implications’

SUMMARY: The FBI is holding a press conference to search for potential victims of a violent sex offender named Negasi Zuberi. Zuberi is in federal custody for kidnapping and sexually assaulting a woman, whom he kept in a makeshift cell in his Klamath Falls home. He has ties to 10 states and the FBI is looking for additional victims. Zuberi traveled from Oregon to Seattle, where he posed as an undercover police officer and abducted a prostitute. After sexually assaulting the woman, he took her to his home and locked her in a cinderblock cell. She managed to escape and seek help. Zuberi was later arrested in Reno, Nevada. Authorities believe there may be more victims and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
