25 governors demand answers on how many migrants flown to states | National
SUMMARY: Twenty-five Republican governors have sought information from President Biden and Vice President Harris regarding the influx of illegal foreign nationals into their states, claiming it burdens local resources and creates safety concerns. They specifically inquired about the CHNV parole program, which fast-tracked 530,000 migrants from Cuba, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Venezuela over the past year. The governors expressed alarm over insufficient communication regarding the migrants’ details, leading to confusion and fear in their communities. They emphasized the potential risks to both citizens and migrants due to a lack of oversight and monitoring, demanding a comprehensive accounting of each parolee’s status and location.
