Councilman speculates over city officials in bribery case
SUMMARY: City Councilman Kenneth Stokes believes he has identified two elected officials involved in a federal bribery investigation, referring to them as “unindicted co-conspirator B and C.” He expressed disappointment that these officials would sell their influence. Allegations include one official receiving $10,000 in cash and a job for a family member, while the other got a $10,000 check for a reelection campaign, both in exchange for favorable support from FBI agents posing as developers. Stokes insists all involved should be held accountable. The mayor‘s office declined to comment further on the case, while City Councilman Banks has not responded.
