Eyes on the Gulf again. Alabama could be impacted by tropical development in the next week.
SUMMARY: Visibility in downtown Birmingham is poor, with a dense fog advisory in effect until 9 a.m. Temperatures are starting in the 60s and are expected to rise into the low 80s after fog clears, with a possibility of spotty showers later. Quiet weather is predicted for Tuesday to Thursday, but tropical moisture may bring showers on Friday. Meteorologist Brylee Brown noted multiple tropical systems in the Atlantic, including Tropical Depression Isaac. Another depression could develop near the Gulf with a 50% chance of formation in the next week, potentially affecting the northern Gulf region. The weekend will likely have pleasant weather.

Alabama National Guard Deployed To North Carolina | September 30, 2024 | News 19 at 4 p.m.

“I need to hug my friends” Daphne woman heading home to Asheville with storm relief
SUMMARY: Noel Schulman, originally from Asheville, North Carolina, is deeply affected by the recent hurricane devastation in Daphne, which is about 600 miles away.
