Sleep patterns can also be disrupted, leading to irritability, anxiety, anger, and low mood. Those with pre-existing conditions such as depression or anxiety may be particularly affected. Additionally, medications may be less effective in regulating body temperature, posing a greater risk for those with conditions like schizophrenia. It is important to be aware of these effects and find healthy outlets to manage stress during this temporary period of intense heat.
