Experts predict political social media ads will get worse
SUMMARY: Georgia is a crucial battleground state in the presidential election, leading to an overwhelming influx of political ads and messages on social media. With over 60 days until election day, campaigns are investing millions in digital ads, significantly impacting users’ feeds. Experts indicate that even if users don’t engage with political content, interactions from their network can still bring such posts to their attention. To minimize exposure to political ads, users can report irrelevance or utilize social media platforms more cautiously, as algorithms prioritize emotionally charged content to keep users engaged.
With just a little over 60 days left until election day, both campaigns are pouring millions into buying ads online as well as every other form of media.
