SUMMARY: A 19-year-old woman, Amaya Madrano, faces capital murder charges after allegedly shooting 66-year-old Ahmad Alola during a Facebook Marketplace transaction in Dallas. Alola, a patriarch of his family, was killed near an elementary school while attempting to sell an iPhone 15. Surveillance footage captured the interaction between the two, showing Madrano shooting Alola before fleeing the scene. Police linked Madrano to the crime through her distinct tattoos and her social media account, which was selling a similar phone shortly after the incident. Madrano, already on probation for a previous assault, has a bond set at $1 million.

Police say Ahmad Alkhalaf, a 66-year-old husband and father from Sasche, was murdered in the middle of the afternoon at an Oak Cliff gas station just off I-35 and South Marsalis Avenue. A 19-year-old woman is charged with his murder.
