Executive director of Mississippi Division of Medicaid steps down

Man faces several child sex crime charges in Monroe Co.
SUMMARY: Steve Colburn, a Monroe County man, faces multiple federal child sex crime charges, including seven counts of sex trafficking minors and one count of enticement. The allegations date back to 2007, with incidents involving eight minors. Colburn is also indicted on 16 state charges from July 2023. The enticement charge stems from an alleged incident on February 14 this year. If convicted, Colburn faces a potential life sentence.
