Ex-Collierville cop terminated by MS dept. after missing gun leads to decertification
SUMMARY: A former Collierville Police officer, DeMario Pree, resigned a day before a disciplinary hearing after allegedly leaving his service weapon in a Walmart bathroom while working off-duty. The Tennessee Police Officer Standards and Training board voted for his decertification when he didn’t appear at his hearing, barring him from law enforcement in the state. He was briefly hired and then fired by Olive Branch Police. Additionally, two ex-Memphis Police officers, who were hired by Hernando Police Department, resigned after being indicted for leaving the scene of a fatal accident and official misconduct, with decertification requested by MPD.
